Killing civilians Like they were enemy combatants Is the fruit of cowardice, Picked from orchards Of diseased minds... **************************
Only one side bore arms, On a cowards battlefield;
Where swift swords of explosives Swung, erupting-steel edged fire, Throwing javelins of glass-shards That severed arteries, And let innocent blood Stain red, rag-badges, That draped the heads Of shell-shocked civilians, Like war hero dressings.
Gurneys lined the street- A quiet train that did not move But it did not matter, For its passengers were able To wait at the station forever.
The undertaker came Playing conductor, Punching the tickets On their toes, a signal For the stalled train to go.
But there was no need to rush Towards destination, For the morgue had no sign That flashed "No !No! No! There were rooms vacant For the rigorous guests- That layed on the battleground Streets of London.

A vivid portrayal of the London horrors!
As a nurse I have prepared and tagged many a body for the morgue. The following lines were shockingly clever and sent their own waves of chills up and down my spine. ~
"The undertaker came Playing conductor, Punching the tickets On their toes, a signal For the stalled train to go."
A vivid and forthright piece of writing that descriptively portrays the carnage. As unpleasant as it was to read, I appreciated your talent and your shooting straight from your compassionate hip.
Peace, Love, Light & Harmony,

The trees grieve, with branches hung over, the leaves beneath line the ground where the caskets rest,
somewhere the dandelions prepare for next spring.

Truth is, it is now set up so that no one man knows the enemy, and can only fear shadows.
Well done, Ford. As Jo said, this needs to stay at the top.

Kacy "Plain English is all I know.... Thank you for reading, and understanding... * Linda I keep waiting for your new age to come.. " Eyes, once blind, now saw the stars, And beheld gold rays of Sun. The world was bathed in glorious Light, For the New Age had begun."
This event certainly is not the start of it...
But I will keep waiting, thanks for reading... * Ella Thank you, The power comes from the event I am just its scribe. * iliana Jo Thanks for reading, your reply, and the bump.... * Inky A grand last stanza, we should do a duet sometime. Thank you for reading, and the time it took to write your reply...

Excellent, I wish I was mobilized, I may get the chance soon, this is the second inning of a double header. Pray for those who could not fight.

the pure blood of frankness along with their myrid of overwhelming awe lengthens the senses, where one must admire your ability to move emotions
we've been temprarily thrown off the stairs but when push comes to shove, anyone who believes it is just, will be dangerously interbred with the mark of theives...perhaps 666?
Well done Ford, and thank you for your heart.
