does love endure us?
Sometimes I don't think it can.
All the music has ceased
and the calm has been filled
choked
with a thick hatred
that I don't have a target for just yet.
but going on
there is only one way out
and that is the sweet peace of your face
the soft dark stirring
found only in your eyes
the barely contained passion
in your hands
that shake just a little while you touch me.
does love endure us?
I'm not sure anymore.
do you have strength enough for both of us?

Very poignant and beautifully expressed doubts, dear Temptress.

I think love does endure us, though we might not be able anymore to perceive it in the same way.

I like to think love conquers all.....that love is thicker then water or blood.....but sometimes I wonder too....you bring it out in this....all I can say, if it's meant to be, it will happen..and above all else you will endure......heart hugsss Jenn, you're tugging the strings with this....sigh, in understanding.....

Well expressed doubts that we all have. I too think love endures but I'm not too sure that we, as humans, can define it correctly. However, I'm sure that only what is genuine and real will survive.
