Sad to hear and feel,
to watch the struggle,
knowing the pain that
must reside as the mind
pulls and pushes, tugs
and dashes...beyond
the speed of light.

Trying to slow down,
catch a mental
breath...wishing to be
like them, those who
have not been touched
by the helter and skelter
of a spinning clock
which ticks ever faster.

Bitter the inner pain of
a wandering soul seeking
to find the door that opens
to an answer that lingers
just beyond the next bend,
never slowing, out of
reach...as the roller coaster
hurtles and sways...the pencil
taps and shoes shuffle to a
frustrating tune...wanting to
be free...

BJ, you did a great job of expressing the tug on so many at the moment. A roller coaster, I suspect, is a really accurate analogy.
