Love me tender all my days
Is all that I will ask
But love entails devotion
A lifetime of a task.

I ask for understanding
And Gentleness to show
A touch of romance here and there
A protection quick in tow.

I ask for great patience
And empathy of heart
Support, love, devotion
A godly work of art.

All I really ask for
Is to not again be hurt
But to enjoy this life I live
No more to be burnt.

Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!!
