oh failed light of serenity
take my last breath,
take me slowly down to heavens
gate where I may rest.
follow me to sunrise, yet
hide my face and eyes,
let my tears run out of me
to join the waters by.
touch the hands lost to us
and praise them for their warmth,
the memories tear at me
like the waves upon the gulf.
dear friend wind come to me
carry my soul on high,
release me from the trap of pain
allowing me to remember life.
