You are the chalice, filled to brim
the golden rim teasing the touch of
softest moist lips.

You are the waters running pure,
pristine amongst the forest woods.
Babbling heartily, cheerfully...
A sound caressing one’s ear.

You are the valley lying quiet,
tendrils of smoke lazily curling
amongst the trees.

You are the sounds of rails
hammering beneath the iron
horse’s wheels...laboring
on a mountain grade.

You are beauty, bountiful
and serene. Luscious as a
succulent grape, Twirled
easily, lazily between one’s
teeth.

You are these and more...
All parts of one whole,
one delicate soul I call,
I whisper to...as my
friend.
