Our lives are dangling by a rope Sliding down a slippery slope It could all end with one flick of the switch I have realized this has to be a glitch Yet it is still a fact So the system has to be cracked If we do not stand up for ourselves They will decide amongst themselves We are stumbling in the dark Not even seeing a spark No one wishing to turn on the light Because they could not stand the fright The pain and suffering spanning the earth Mothers dying trying to give birth They only thing they can say Is let my baby be okay Please do not let the dying's words go unheard Acknowledge that this atrocity has occurred Life is too great For us too desecrate We can not go silently in the night A passion for each other we must ignite Watching everything we ever cared about fade away Stopping the pain we can no longer delay Weapons were built to hurt If we do not put them down our lives will revert I look to the sky hoping for the way We can not wait for tomorrow we need it today They say the good die young I would be the one if the song of peace was sung The only thing we have are our words If not for them we are no different then the birds Starring at our own reflection in the mirror Bring our demise even nearer Unity is the only way it can work If not in the dark the reaper will lurk Our lives are in our hands One voice from all the lands We only have one shot at this existence We must put up a resistance Togetherness I encourage Though I wonder if my life was the price would I still keep the courage After thinking I know I would If the world filled with good It is truly worth the cost So with this my being will never exhaust Tomorrow comes for those who fear it. I kind of felt a "rap" whle reading this... your ideas and intentions are noteworthy... the rhyme flowed and the images created were worth understanding. |

we need to definetly open our eyes and and stop what were doing and get families back together and work together on the priorities of life or their will be no life it scares me for the children this chaotic no time for family as prices are so high and materialistic has become more important than integrity virtures morals family respect for all and this world love and forgiveness pull together end lonliness and shame help clean up the damage from their drugs and alcohal that keep us from being as one and not seeing whats happening. i bet some of you dont even know they can make it rain or create storms and you believe what is told and shown on tv. take a good look all around we could be a disaster area too and how many would help and how many would take advantage of situation and grab materialistic things instead of grabing and saving a life. it scares the hell out of me My spirit will rise |
