I scent the vanilla to bathe in yesterday, a coating of softness borrowed for a "theme of love".
I heard the pillow talk as if you were there, leaning back trying not to smile up at me.
My breaths uneven as my world lost its gray and I began to play your colorful tune.
I lay among the thoughts, among the words, always wrestling to correct the weave, those pulls that sometimes catch me unexpectedly.
I am in a feeling place, taking hopeful strides, (can't anyone see?) giving my attention to reality, enduring those sleepless nights waiting for time's release and the tasting of all things good.
My blinds are closed to the fears of tomorrow as I stretch on this day, showering myself in tranquility, allowing my feet... to touch the ground.

... soft
... yet grounded.
I like this feeling place but the blinds dont always hide.

Beautiful poem you've written here, Maureen. I really enjoyed reading. Hugs,
