Red and White Balloons In the air suspended like advertising blurs on red and white balloons hangs the very fabric of enlightenment. God forbid the winds of change should blow them into clouds because clouds, in the way of clouds, spew water down to earth for the very thirsty but the manna, yes, the manna, stays distant and aloof and listens to the rumble of the still very hungry. Clouds like women folk have a possessive streak and hang on tight forever but awareness isn’t love (or is it?) and there always is a dragon to burst a bubble or two. So the dragon one day, in the way of all good dragons, flew into bubbly clouds and down came the rain to wash away the dirt and grime from the many bricks that make society tick. And society ticks over to the tune of wind-up clocks placed within the heads of those sound asleep to the unforgettable magic of the unexplained. Partly roused, “What is that sound?” but only breakfast cooking to feed the body beautiful because the crumbs of mysticism never are enough to feed the multitudes with gourmet meals of proof. Starved forever yet to drink a sad and fateful thing like a little sip of love that never satisfies. Such is the way it goes till we blend love and stir a little bit of mysticism into the total mix because the dragon that bursts bubbles an unfriendly neighbour if ignored and dismissed as a one-time lucky miss. Unfriendly dragons? No, no, no, they surely don’t exist but look around – why do we find death, illness, and dismay, spreading around the neighbourhood, the global neighbourhood, like a dirty minded mud slide? Dirty minded? Yes, precisely so, because mind perhaps the grower and the harvester of all experiences but damn those clouds that harbour still route maps for the lost and succour for the lonely!
