Fae in Your Heart

Follow the wind dancing among the leaves
Leading you down a hidden path with ease
Listen to its voice beckoning you near
Though darkness descends there’s nothing to fear

Feel the magic fill the air all around
Touching your soul with an unearthly sound
Hear it crackle like a living fire
As it searches your heart to acquire

Seek the light that dances in meadows
Watch as it chases away the shadows
Draw nearer and take part in summer dreams
Joining hands beneath shimmering moonbeams

Bedecked in fairy dust they’ve called to you
With magic they bring you forth without clue
A request you join them taking a part
For they recognize the fae in your heart

In the fairy ring where your place is drawn
You’ll dance in their circle until the dawn
They have touched your soul with a magic hand
That you may write of their enchanted land

Karen you have honoured me with one of the most beautiful poems that I have ever read! It is magical!

I would like to print this out and put it in a box that I keep for special poems that have been written for me by special friends.
