when feminine mystique returns to innocence, in a woman’s peace, duping flesh tongue yearning for the moist taste of him and a full moon swallowing me after day’s collapse like morning desires, reaching out a sensual drug, sucking softly on my neck heart bleeding a whining craze soft voice of him, in violin pages where we were a beloved place, creating fingers moving fingers tender...poignant walls conversed, keeping memories deep within the arms of ecstasy teaching me to kiss again to stroke to caress, hearing God’s everlasting whispers the arousal of a changing world hopeful and romantic it is then... melting razor sharp cold runs wounded rivers deep within a soul sprinkling embedded marrow with his thoughtless fleeting moments then love argues with a parody of song that now live far away... far away and they never realize the pain where blood turns to rain and darkness mocks a slammed door irresponsible... so self-impossed... the man opportunist that drifts in and out of souls when a full moon swallows me after day’s collapse i think of all that went wrong i think of how he ripped my blouse about regret & learning it is then love argues with any bridges that danced with soul in joyful nature and the miles I’ve come... the long long road to happiness he didn’t understand there was more to love then carnal pleasure, starting a song he'd never finish burning me like a blair witch project destroying poignant stares looking deep into each other’s eyes until smiles turned those tears to night and passing minutes, never returned but that fairy tale flash, still haunts my mind still haunts my mind wandering the beauty of tuscany a place i’d thought was only ours and I wander among the minds of men in their songs...of love and bliss thinking of those that left love affairs to them were one night stands in a lifetime of innocence divorcing hearts tearing me apart from the scent of them fear now walks by my side by my side so when feminine mystique returns to innocence, in a woman’s peace, duping flesh tongue yearning for the moist taste of him and a full moon swallows me after day’s collapse I remember the other woman he chose how he returned again and again only to eat my heart, never to be that desperate again for the warmth of another's arms Oh, how very little I accepted and allowed him that trust the fool of me, melting at his touch his voice, sighing a condiscending lust while laughing at what he'd done smuggly asking, "did I do that?" I'll never give love, to a man like that again Note: believe me, there are marvelous, sensitive kind men out there, who have been treated so senselessly the same by women...so, this poem is more to those who have been shattered by these people, more so then an anger at the violators... Do so trust your inner voice, and remember, no one can hurt you unless you allow them to...look for the flags, and don't be so hungry, you'll compromise self.... Hugs [This message has been edited by LeeJ (08-19-2005 02:31 PM).] |

LeeJ - I want to speak but cannot for tears drown the words but such is the courage of a woman that she can overcome. This again is tremendous writing! Hey, I may be brave but that's all I can manage at the moment - too busy clapping with my last vestiges of strength! |

Dear Lee, this was just so sad my friend, no one needs a love like that, I hope that now you have happiness. I loved this write and your souls exposure, thank you for sharing a secret part of you. Sincerely Rick |

LeeJ I'm sure it takes more than one lifetime to complete the cycle. And in order to reach the end there must be a beginning. Good morning sweet. |

i think of how he ripped my blouse about regret and learning it is then love argues with any bridges that danced with soul in joyful nature **************************************** can feel the deep pain here, am empty echo where love once bloomed...and the realization that seeds do bloom again when planted and such an outpouring of soul here makes this for an outstanding write |

This guy gets around, Lee. The pain and the need is a poignant coupling, and I do believe this is my new favorite from you. Another powerful write, but one that reveals vulnerability. Amazing. |

Lee, I love this poem. I think it is my favorite of your's now. and that could be because I relate so very much to it. I am so glad that I have a man in my life, now, who is so patient with me and my past. |

Having been there myself I felt every word...the pain will always be close to the surface but thanks to a very loving man and a good friend I have been able to give my heart completely to a man who holds it tenderly...needless to say it took almost a lifetime to get to that point...I know the strength it took for you to bare you soul like this to us and I am greatful that you did....may joy and happiness fill your heart and soul...*big big hugs* |

Dear Lee, This touched me very much. I have been fortunate to have had the love of one man for 47 years until his death....But I have also watched three sons and three daughters hurt at different times by inmature, self centered people. I have seen the tears shed because of just such things as you write. And the hurt is just as deep to feel and watch until they work it through..Thank you for this heart felt piece. You are a terrific person and I do enjoy your writing and sharing. thank you martyjo |
