I am stuck in time
In a life not quite mine
Every one step forward
Later feels like ten back
I want to run - to leave
The grasp of the eaves
That are holding me tight
Only releasing at night
I am used and abused
Only, they are amused
I come at their beckon
I feel I should kick 'em
But for now I'll just stay
And I'll do as they say
Because all in due time
I'll re-claim the life MINE

Thank you all for reading & understanding!

I'm having a difficult time with one of my jobs & this was just a little venting...while I'm still feeling as if I'm being walked all over, writing definitely helps to calm me down a bit.
