The softest whisper, slightest sigh, the feel of hands entwined, and the knock-on effects rattle down the line like the chain of love’s desire disturbs the silence of a mind. Pity me, I pray this week for sleep to bring in peace like the advent of a shower, see that washes until free from ingrained memories made dirty by the free to speak to whoever they may please. Ah-ha! Midnight chimes the start and death throes of the heart face the beat of love’s repast with the twinkle of a star … until the last laugh. The keeper of a soul, once, twice, eons ago, slips into a grave whereupon a rose will grow and he who bends will see the glow of what he once let go … but friend or foe he won’t know until he’s paid the due of woe! sometimes sleep doesn't even bring peace... I know about nightmares, for sure |

Oh, yes, so do I, Dixie, but one day, if I'm lucky, it will bring in peace - just have to keep asking and asking and asking until it's easier to just settle for ... the nightmare! |
