Welcome To Heartbreak City

I suppose she'll break my heart
if I was to never see her again,
and thats the way it will end
my friend, thats the way two
sweethearts come to an end.

What drives two sweethearts apart?
Different thoughts that are worlds apart.
Wayward hearts slowly gaining desires to part.

Non-committal sweethearts always
come to an end my friend, and
then, welcome to heartbreak city.

This is very true. But how many times does one person carry a relationship hoping it will work? Very good piece. Glad you are not in Heartbreak City.

very true...adding, I believe so many people gravitate towards others for personal needs, being afraid of alone, the need for companionship, sexual satisfactions, feeling like an outsider if not a couple? Compatibility has to be a focus...and the ability to allow the other person their views, and continual growth...to encourage them to suceed, no matter, if we are left behind...b/c we cannot force our views on someone else...and, I've said this many times, just b/c you might think one way, or she thinks another, doesn't make you right and her wrong or visa versa....allowance is a great big part of a relationship, nun assuming...without unbearable expectation.

Well done and well said...my poet friend. Enjoyed.
