When single is no longer an option
life alone means living like a dog
couple mode comes in handy
single style lustre fades

one can always live alone
watch dishes pile in the sink
sleep with empty pillow alongside
until couple mode comes in vogue

when single is no longer an option
a table set for one, brings tears
one thinks there must be ideal company
there has to be someone to share

for everyone there is a mate
to meet on determined date
couple mode falls into place
single styles lose their grace.

Couple mode is wonderful ~ if you have the right partner. If not, single mode definitely has its advantages. I thank my lucky stars that I have the perfect partner and am thorougly enjoying the couple mode ~ and so is he! May this be the same for you as well!

Neat poem... Yes, I think we each have our mates or connections in the universe. As to address your poem, I think singles and couples have their unique advantages and disadvantages... and at the "determined date". Enjoyed,
