I pledge allegiance to the earth To life in water, terra-flora-fauna, And to the lives of all that stand, In jeopardy of human plunder. I swear no liege to local Gods, But to the cosmic energy That motors universal life; I pledge my greed will not divide Or conquer those with moving lives As well as those inanimates, Who dwell within the dirt, and rocks. ************************************* This pledge demands I speak my mind, expose Deceit that laws protect, And lies that politicians speak; The skies are dirtier today... And the forest knows well on its own, the best way To atone, its rapes and wrongs. (Knowing proper use is not exploitive, And that death is part of life, integral; I stand, salute, allegiant... Again, again, repeat this creed That calls for universal justice, Not for only man, but all. |

if we all harmonize, we all stand to gain things much more significant then any material thing...and it has to start somewhere, doesn't it? I'm right there with ya neighbor....a lesson in all it takes to make this world a better place...concern for each other... Ya know, just goes to prove...it doesn't matter whose right, whose wrong, what matters is we're a community...or should be... |

Tolkien had a profound statement in the ents. "noone cares for the forest anymore" enjoyed this sharing of your thoughts - we do so need to take care of our earth - together. |
