Quilted Clouds Recline upon your bed of quilted clouds And listen to the wind play melodies, Enveloped in our love's protective shroud That shelters you from aches and miseries. So sleep and dream uninterrupted dreams Of one assured of love without demand. Protected from the shrill incessant screams Of erstwhile, evil love and its commands. For here alone is sanctuary found And here alone is solace guaranteed, A fortress firm where memories abound And soothe the soul whenever there is need. Now press your cheek against my chest my dear, For harm will never pierce your comfort here. |

How lovely... I would tell you a story, but I'm sure you don't care. But I just thought that you should know that your poem reminds me of a story, and a very meaningful story to me. And I thought it a lovely poem. |

"For here alone is sanctuary found And here alone is solace guaranteed, A fortress firm where memories abound And soothe the soul whenever there is need. Now press your cheek against my chest my dear, For harm will never pierce your comfort here." that is my most favorite place to sleep, on my husbands chest with his arms around me...really enjoyed this |
