The bells toll,
eyes turn inward in weep;
not for your passing, rather,
for my remaining...

I did not accompany you
on the journey...
the one you made without
my consent.

Who knows why your bells rang
before I was ready to hear?

Tomorrow is another moment
of angered remembrance.

Wave the flags of surrender high,
my dear soldier of yesterday,
so I may see your smile shine
over these horrid cloudbursts.

"Tomorrow is another moment
of angered remembrance."

I rememeber feeling this way for loved ones that have passed...

" ... not for your passing, rather

Have stood in the rain for many
an hour pondering this very thought.

            ... still do ...

Kacy, this is so touching. You have perfectly described this feeling, to me.
