Beautiful pillar of beauty & strength, Untouched, unscathed, unscarred Secretly, slowly, it creped up, showed itself Slowly starts to burn, intense heat, radiant light Melting away, liquid energy, so soft, so very fragile A breath of air, a flame no more, heat released Slowly cools, strengthens, and takes new shape Still very strong yet less strength then before Still very beautiful but less of once was now touched, now scathed, a pillar still Accepting what is, remembering what was Enjoys the calm knowing it will burn again Beliefs will forever breath that breath of air we need One-day the pain of life will just stop burning One-day the joys of life will harden one last time For the wick will end, the wax will melt, the candle is I. |
