A repost on Father's day. Written for my friend Katie after her dad passed away, but I know there are many others whose daddy's may have never died, but are gone just the same...
~

Hush little girl
Hush little girl
Daddy is gone,
and the world doesn't turn right now.
Don't you cry
Don't you cry
time spins on,
and you die a little more, everyday.

And if you hold on,
I'll hold on to you.
If you let go
then I'll carry you through,
little girl.

GG, a very caring repost for your friend.  There are many who have lost their parents and miss them, and dedicating it to them all is just so like you.

Thank You dear girl...I lost my Daddy on New Years day three years ago.  It's a very hard thing to go through.

You have a sweet heart.

Only after his death,
did I know what it felt like
not to have a dad right there.
My heart always pains for those
whose dads could be there
for them.

Thank you, little one.

This is a reminder to all fathers
of just how much they are truly needed.

Hi, GG darlin'.  It is so good to see your writing again.  As you know...I've been away from here quite awhile, but I'm hanging around a little here again.  Hope you are well, dear friend.  Your writing is so full of compassion.   ......jo

Alyssa?

you are such a gentle soul . . .

I need this for one that has passed,
one who is living
and one who bears the same name as my son.

Thank you.

Mysteria,
really I should be honest and say I'm not even sure if I ever actually gave this to her. But it was for her just the same. I don't want anyone whose hurt to be left hurting with no words of comfort... and I know it's not the same coming from someone you don't know, but I wanted to dedicate to all for even just an ounce of comfort that it might bring... Thanks for your reply

Dix,
I know, lady, I know ...

Always, Alyssa

JustBleu,
I can't even imagine. I'm so very sorry for the pain of what you've gone through with that. I hope somehow you were able to find some peace in the day. Thanks for your words...

Sunshine,
you know, I hadn't even thought of how this could be a reminder to father's, how great of you to think of that as well. It's just me and my dad that live here and while I may want to move out and may not see eye to eye with him I'm still so blessed to have him around. I'm so heartbroken for those who've... well, who've had their hearts broken. God bless you, and thank you for your reply...

Always, Alyssa

James,
thank ya

jo,
i've been away as well, though sadly I'm not seeing me being around a whole lot anytime soon. Things could change, though. I'm not well, but I'm okay, and that's good enough for right now I hope that life is running as smooth as possible for you. Take care of yourself... I'm so glad you took the time to comment ...

littlewing,
I know that I'm late coming back to reply, but I hope the day went by okay. There's something so easy about caring for someone when you know they're going to take that, turn around, and care for others as well. I love that about you. Thank you.

Margherita,
Thank you so much. I'm honored you took the time to read and reply... I hope that the day was a peaceful one for you.

Ser,
yeah...

Always, Alyssa - who's off to camp for a week.
