in a matrix of perfection
children are filled with kindheartedness
ticker tapes binge
handmaiden sighs of
nightmares
& memory
in this
womb of desire
peacocks sing,
wings running wild
towards me
holding non fiction dragons
with family values
stroking distinct meaning
where pharaohs follow joseph’s coat
it is there the leader beloved
long rules some winsome breast
that even warriors fear

listening to angel’s night time convene
scattering dream elements
crowning two way mirrors
of the eternal girl
obese with unconscious arms
reaching out
for loose fitting clothing
aged and ice-flecked
with winter’s rocking chair
high seated
midway between doors

fire sleeps on a homeless bench
furnished with two seats
while i listen to a woman speaking
bout a rose garden
off hamilton blvd.
where she visited
and spears multiply

oh how i hate those hardships of coincidence
that feuds crime in my mind
when it should be remote
and at rest for the night

night always returns anew
with murder and massacre
and high hearted valor
driving me to your study
as a welcomed guest
always a guest
like it used to be
waves of sea, hitting my chest
softly, tugging on the halls of memory
i say, “go away you band of thieves!”

dante long lives in breasts of foam
hitting me hard
when a yellow ricochet boomerangs
from your width of the world
i pace my room
knowing there is no need for funeral rights
he’s won destiny
as my chambord he drinks
and i watch morning tide

lapping with hungry lips

lapping

lapping

arms tight around my shoulders
head down
pacing, only looking up
to see that empty space
where he once stood
his boast achieved
again, i roll thru rough waves
infested with sharks
on my own
always
on my own

yet, that is the truth i claim
in this ocean endurance
and flood of waves
billowing
churning
calling my name

love’s spell once again surges

Lee - One could quote the whole poem but I particularly like this:

"oh how i hate those hardships of coincidence
that feuds crime in my mind
when it should be remote
and at rest for the night"

You're one gifted writer, you know!

And all of it is brought together with this wonderful statement...I love it...*hugs*
