In dead of night, my shadow heart finds yours. Velvet jet, star sparked, immaculate shades, black burned. Sweet is thy voice, as night oozes at days edge. Pale you are, in my morning mind, step from the shadows, into our gossamer meadow. Just out of shot you stand, come into my monochrome, blend with my shadow, cold hands shall be warmed, heart caressed. Love comforteth like sunshine after rain. (William Shakespeare.) |

phil, i have to tell you, i'm enjoying your work like never before. tighter, subtle .. you're allowing the reader more space, instead of telling so much. bravo to you on this one. Ah, yes. The poems we write in the mid of night can be decidedly different from those we write in the mid of day! This poem gave me chills ~ and tingles! EA |
