It began as a simple thunderstorm, A harmless grey storm cloud, But now the funnel's taking form, My vict'ry's not allowed. The storm that started as simple rain Has grown into disaster, A power that only causes pain, A strength I just can't master. This storm within me rages on, It spins across my mind, The shelter of my heart is gone It's past that storm behind. To reach safety I'd have to go through the eye And walk right through the core, But am I strong enough to survive? Will it spin forevermore? No sword can save me now, I'm stuck, I tried to hold it back, But now I've run out of time and luck, I face the storm's attack. How can a man defeat a storm? How can anyone win? I see no way to fight this form That rages deep within. I've tried to fight it to no avail, It just keeps twisting through; It injures me with giant hail, But warriors must stay true. I know the storm will end some day, One day I'll see its end, And on that day I'll have my way, I'll see the funnel bend... I see it now, a ropey strand, It's losing strength and speed, This power I still don't understand That spins inside of me. What is life without poetry and adventure? |

I liked this very much! "How can a man defeat a storm? How can anyone win? I see no way to fight this form That rages deep within." |

When you have a storm like that inside you, it's hard to stay in control... good thing I have a shelter in there as well. What is life without poetry and adventure? |
