" Worse Than I Thought "

Were it only a bad dream from which you can't wake,
for, the truth of it haunts you, and seems so unfair.
As, you're willing to do what-so-ever it takes,
and, yet, still it eludes you, you're never quite "there".
So, you try, and you try, and you try, once again,
but, you're grasping at straws that remain out of reach.
And, it's all just because some illusion, my friend,
has convinced you to learn that which no-one can teach.
And, all this just for something intangibly vague,
for a sense you've accomplished some goal that you've set,
but, the good words are gone, they've already been used,
all your phrases sound hollow, and, even worse yet,
the sad part of it is, it will likely get worse,
and, that's why there are times that we feel we've been cursed.

Gosh.. don't know how this one got missed,

but I am bringing it back to the top !!

I almost always feel like I have been

cursed, if not by anyone but myself.. by

foolish mistakes that still darken my

doorway.
