Have done, my heart, have done, the fierce lament of roses howling in their silvery shrouds, a caterwaul carved in black clay, a kiss dying on the lips, and this pale death that has always been, mine to bind the shiny white glyphs of July over the amber silk of eyes, crouched inward and perched upon your wrist, heavy how heavy your hand and heavy bends the gentle head, hooded all its anguish stilled by this one mortal wound, bound in the ardor of roses, its claws close, perilous on your wrist, the hours we forget in the wet dream-gardens that are kept wreathed with Valentine arcs of bleeding hearts, ashen upon our sleeves, between us a darkness vanishes, easy and often, as each breath, deep breath, dream is but a membrane fused to the depth of motion, perched perilously upon your wrist.  ...from the DreamSequence... 2005 Copyright babygirLPress **Intoxicant to the SouL** |
