Small Town Parade As she stood holding hands with little Mike, A glance across the street, brought into view, Another little one she knew. A little girl, whose hand She should have held, And shared the day with too. Dear God ~ and there, upon another corner, one more, half brother to her Mike. Strange world for her, As she had never dreamed Her family would be so far apart, and so confused. She felt her heart beat fast, and wondered when and how or if, these little ones would have the chance to meet. |
