Pictures On The Wall
By Paul Wilson

Un-faded place on the wall where your picture use too hang
reminds me of the emptiness in my heart everyday
We shared our joys and pains with each other for many years
till that day the angels quietly came...and took you away

I spend all of my days sitting in your favorite chair
talking to your picture and wishing that you were still here
Friends and family come by too see if i'm doing okay
I tell them I have everything I need...except you dear

I left you alone so many times because of my job
but darling you never left me alone until that day
I never knew that being alone could feel so empty
or that I could cry so many tears since you went away

We had plans next week too take a short trip and see the west
gold prospecting and seeing the Grand Canyon we had planned
We said we might take in Vegas and see a show or two
and maybe take a walk among the Redwoods hand in hand

The trip that we planned will have too wait for a little while
cause I have some un-finished business I have too tend to
I'll meet you at our favorite place...next to that small stream
and then we can do all those things we never got too do

I wonder who will take my picture down...after i'm gone
tonight when the angels come and i'm laying next too you
There's two un-faded places on the wall in our bedroom
where there use too hang a picture of me and one of you

Soon others will cover un-faded places like we did
long ago... when we hung our pictures on our wedding day
Un-faded places on the wall left by those before us
when their time here was over and they had too go away
