Listening to every heart

Paths ~ Ways
[Deal the Cards]

Are you listening?

Yes, I believe I am.

You are at least, looking up.

Yes, [and does your humor always
become you so well?]
because I feel it is what I should do.

Do you see the way?

Oh, yes, I see a way, but it narrows, considerably…
and I wonder if I shall fit the path,
whether it would welcome me, or not.
Sometimes, no,  because most times,
and even not your times, well, I fear
rejection.

Its horizon is a long way off, and not even a horizon,
but … Eternity…

Are you calling me, now? To come to you, now?
Are you asking, or telling?

No, child, I simply wanted to compel you
to continue to look,

As you do willingly assess skies, and astrology, life,
and its compromises,
where at times, answers are dealt, as if in
Solitaire, Spades or Blackjack, daily; why, even a turn in the
farmer’s row, or a raincrow’s call to the sky,
the turn of a key, or a warp in time,
for I would share all with you, even the discerned
straight, and narrow…if you were to observe…

I try…I do try…

Yes, you do. That is why I give this promise, as
I gave the promise of rainbows, eons ago…

Then this is why I hang crystals in my room, to observe
not only their beauty, but their promise? Is that
one of your hidden albeit spoken messages I cling to….

And you,
would speak?

To me?
You would speak to me?

You are in prayer, are you not?

I kneel in hope, every day – some days I do not pray, but humbly, yes,
I demand
a just peace, a moment triumphant,
a gladiola tiding…

I, Sir, am so tired of those who pain,
those who have done no wrong.

But yes, Sir, I pray. I acknowledge that
before you even have a chance
to flip through all of those prayers
that come to you…

Do you see your road?

Yes, Lord, I see a road.  But,
I would not ever
call it
mine.

Then call it the road that should be traveled
by those for whom you pray.

It’s a deal.

There are paths among the clouds, and there are clouded paths. It’s sometimes hard to know which you’re on.

"Do you see your road?

Yes, Lord, I see a road.  But,
I would not ever
call it
mine."

It is the road less traveled by...
I believe that the spirit of Frost was with you when you wrote this beautiful poem, Kari...

" I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference"

It is the road of high human expression that I walk when I read poetry..

It led me here this morning,  am glad I followed it..and did not take a different path...

Thank you for this Sunshine.  Seems I needed to read this today. Many of us talk but seldom listen and perhaps that's why our paths are so ... meandering.

You are all such a blessing.

Not sure who was sitting with me, Ford,
when this one poured out.

But the picture won't leave my mind, either.

Thank you all!
