Cat-bird song descends,
Falling sweet
Ear-fruit, dropped
From treetop height,
That hits the ground
Without a bruise.

The gray-bird lifts
And for a while
It cedes its choral,
As the evening darkness creeps
And curtain/closes down
His day-lit concert.

In the June,
That has become;

The gay bird
Rests its voice,
A while, and sleeps

As flying mammals
Dart in circles,
Dark wings flapping
Squeaking soft
In (bushmen) clicks,
Just above park benches

Where new lovers sit
And dove-cue-cuddle,
In the dim-light-glow
Of a (finally its)
Summer, moon.

Perfect title to a beautiful poem, Ford.
Such a calming sensation emoting from it.
