Thunder rumbles overhead and the clouds begin to frown. Who disturbs the wind of change so long asleep and nestled in the folds of complacency? “Me” said the feel of how life is meant to be and the breeze of new beliefs stretches, yawns, and dresses so to bedazzle old perceptions with what the future holds. “You see, there’s a tree in the garden next to me and on its trunk the useless, dead, will soon outnumber new and make from innocence a stubborn and intractable weighted down old tree.” The feel, yes, the feel, of how life is meant to be will always blow a gale around and through complacency to free a tree, you and me, from dead-weights of the past … and I don’t know why we always have to cry! |

"and I don’t know why we always have to cry!" I don't know why either. So many tears from so many innocent people. Who has the answers? But know we are here with thoughts of you. martyjo |

Complacency is its own reward. I like this one, it's well-worded. I like change, but I'm always so afraid of it before it happens. I wish I wasn't but I am. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
