So came the night And bitter fed the stars shriveled Into pricks of heaven where it bled Some faint trickle not against the vein It would heal they said in time it would heal Or you will find that one bright morning When the murder of flesh has felt a bite of cold There is no sane or in to make it out Just old and slowly lost side in the doubts Astringent roots can be dug When the moon looks across her black dress and into the eyes That search for where they hide Then powdered with the thrust of hardwood Into a hollowed void Gather dust Gather dust Don’t forget to mix wise an elixir for the mind I can cloud none other but my own And would not have myself hear the way In groans of writhe the seeping stops Sprinkle lightly for the moon rarely stares long And she leaves us with her pale demise To wander all alone Oh this fine weave of light applied Gives place for birth of clotted mind And can be ripped aside as rend and blood survive One more this night one less this day Among the boles of sassafras who hold red roots underneath it all for boil and strain before you drink or find the choke of earth too much to swallow whole minutes pass into granules of a day and we in fine bark dress pressed thin Come again to watch how Night does not fall as is said by many nor does it creep along the edges of the sun But slams inside the void To savage eyes till blind And leave ears tuned to pumping heart Measured one ta one ta one By her rule stretched taut between What is and could have been Still laugh your regrets easily When she reigns Broken heart, shattered dreams Mean nothing to the dark When in each some sheath Finds its dagger Or the flesh the sting of spent lust on satin thighs Come the shadows Grimm of fairytales To settle on the soul Something true We never know of passing eve Or midnight tied to posts that spread wide an opening We might yet still Fall through |

There is no sane or in to make it out Just old and slowly lost side in the doubts Astringent roots can be dug When the moon looks across her black dress and into the eyes That search for where they hide Then powdered with the thrust of hardwood Into a hollowed void Gather dust Gather dust Don’t forget to mix wise an elixir for the mind I can cloud none other but my own And would not have myself hear the way In groans of writhe the seeping stops Sprinkle lightly for the moon rarely stares long And she leaves us with her pale demise To wander all alone ~*~ If there were ever a poem to be writ that a pagan chant would, could accompany... it would be this one. |

Couldn't let this slide down the pages.. You touch every sense with the way you put words together to tell the ache of life. Masterful. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |
