Je sens la grande vulnérabilité aujourd'hui
the pale of yellow . . . blossoms open before the sun as she parades her delicate delighting in the warm fragile in her newness
still,
she fears the horizon the blackening in promise that winter has not quite gone and the threat of storm lies heavy upon air
oh,
she, such a tender little blossom virgin to this world innocent in her understanding bared before the impending how she wishes for a stone to be rolled along side her to shield and to hide her from the coming of the crying
yet—
she was born to be wild and though the weather will wear upon her her stalk will stand steady and her stem will grow strong
so,
tuck away your fear little flower and push your petals upward you were not meant to be a hothouse pretty but the field sprung inspiration for a meadowlark’s song
s.a.t.
If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . .[This message has been edited by Susan (05-19-2005 06:53 PM).]

Elasticity a premise to stand rough blows without succumbing
I wrote this senryu recently and it came to mind now, while reading about your delicate flower.
This needs to be taken to heart!
A very beautiful and wise write, dear Susan!

Oh, no! "Born To Be Wild" is one of those songs that gets into my head as well ~ and stays there until I "head out on the highway"! lol
This was a delicate and highly poetic write. Rise up, little flower! You were born to be wild!
Lovin' hugs, Linda

such a tender little blossom virgin to this world innocent in her understanding bared before the impending how she wishes for a stone to be rolled along side her to shield and to hide her from the coming of the crying
Susan, I'm going right now to look for a stone to roll to her, perhaps it will help
Now, the rest of the day, I'll be hearing Born to be Wild...and revin up my pretend bike.....
Seriously, this was exquisit and softly done, yet, strongly felt by the reader, could catch the scent of flowers, images were beatifully executed...
Cherish this, and the warmth which sparkles from your heart...not to mention, the realistic nature of it, portraying the fears that we have, yet, conquer...
Tremendous!
