I sit upon the
broad shoulders
of your mind
twirling thoughts,
between my fingers
beading hope
of forgotten focuses

like rocks overlapping,
prying open
somewhat autonomous
from other human capacities

to free the sentry
with heroin claws

while you turn the ring on my finger
days taking you somewhere else

I mourned and wept to see your silence
migrate to my consciousness
hoping you’d hold sunlight

why,
this cold blue reality
speaks only for itself?
At night sitting deep in the mountains
disappearing beneath a moment
of discernment to which it bears witness
what hasn’t changed?
wearing what has changed around your neck
damning the minutes for leaving

are we drowning
in some compromise?
orbs far removed
a question of time
pinned to fabric
of what passes and lingers?
to the death of us
consumed…
like the moon swims in the sea

the world before my eyes
holds lots of arms

I hear some
seductive promise
jolting
bribing
melting ice
from slumber

is it then, wings
fly memories
to your mind?
echoing, “may i”?
glued to the mirror
of some mistaken heaven

the God in my heart says
let my feelings show
shake them silly
until May bleeds metaphors

but, perhaps those are only my thoughts
while
sitting on the shoulders of God’s mind
shaking them loose
like apples from a tree
magnetic words which should reach

but fall from the lips of
the wind

my shadow creeps in
passing between us, in silence
youth with long hair, pure water in prayer
turn clear and transparent
drinking in the wonderful mood of loitering
staring at beauty’s glance

I climb the thoughts of wood &
summer grasses
gathering in mossy crevices
moonlit evening returns every minute
yet…this flow owes me nothing

the auburn hair of the land, waves blond
wearing a good life
wearing my mind
barefoot

LeeJ:

In your heart lives a magical list of never ending verses from living and experiencing life.  A good heart, a strong mind, and the veracity of a poet.  You are blessed indeed, as is the reader.  Pure enjoyment in this one.
