Only when pain subsides,
Then can I be still inside.
It is there in that complete silence,
Alone in echoes of my own thoughts,
In those unspoken soft cries of why
I heave another unspoken sunrise sigh
Searching for any semblance of peace.

In this stillness of why,
A wafting, honeysuckle scented morning wind
Whistles notes of sadness on scratchy strings
Played by life’s invisible virtuoso.
Hiding well any answers
In tall timbered west coast violins.

If I am very still inside I hear
Aches of tendrils that stretch and curl frantically.
Each new bloom dons a crinoline of swish and sway,
Of yet another brand new wisteria day.
For some reason it becomes a prerequisite,
The need to pray.

In the stillness of this zephyr’s sigh,
I do feel it brush over my soul,
Winding through these life-worn limbs
In a tender soft caress of hope.

Pain forces stillness inside
Without so much as a warning,
A single tear escapes,
To land on a tender pink bud
Of just another day of why.

O rose, who dares to name thee?
No longer roseate now, nor soft, nor sweet,
But pale, and hard, and dry, as stubblewheat,
Kept seven years in a drawer,
thy titles shame thee.

I think I am just so tired of being tired, and sick   and this bug has finally hit my brain. Nothing wants to kill this thing!

Thanks for reading my morning whine of "why?"

Had that bug, dear...and it's miserable...but it WILL go away, trust me...

it will.

In its own good time...

and you'll be sixes and sevens
all over again!

Thanks Sunshine and Chris, I know you both had it too.

I have got my next tattoo picked out actually.  It is a heart made of feathers, with a ballet shoe in the middle and below it is Carpe' Diem     That one will go really close to my own heart.

Kacy trust you to see the significance of the rose, and in a way, I am very glad there is one named after me, it gives me even strength.

Here is a rough draft of the next one I want to do after holidays!  It will be a heart made of angel wings, with a tiny ballet shoe and carpe'diem inside of it.   I love this one!  Have to draw it out yet, this is only a draft of ideas.
