It’s been while Since I felt her breath Since I read her lips Her creator having killed her Without so much as a “should I?” To the ones that came to love her Came to live her Her careless overalls And greasy hands Were felt and caressed Touching deep The hidden parts Of us, her and you I suppose you can’t bring her back Nor do I think you would want to I miss her And always wanting more But all I am left with is a shot of scary smooth. laughing:::: ah... scary smooth.. is not so bad a drink... and sometimes characters just write themselves out... has nothing to do with the writer, I think the character gets tired of the whining writers and just die of boredom... Iambe did that I think... died from being bored with me. |

You're not alone, Susan... she was a deft character, and left behind a lot of broken hearts... and sisters who understood... as much as they could. But...there are always memory tales, don't you agree? |

Ive learned the hard way...(the moth way) not to get too attached to muses...they tend to leave us eating our words...yayaya Iambe was quite the woman... But Im quite sure you can create your own muse of soul...why not try and I'll buy ya a drink Susie-girl |

I am not capable. Iambe was pieces of us all. I could never capture that. I know my limitations. *heavy sigh* "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Iambe chewed on words the way some men chew tobacco she would hold them for a while between her lip and teeth before she shifted them to her jaw where she put teeth into them Old Man Johnson's stake bed had lost the clutch and he had 10 head of steer he needed to move so Iambe had agreed to work late that night taking care of his needs while knowing the old man's wife was pretty bad off and they needed all the money they could get from rangey undrfed steers raised on the worn out ground Johnson still farmed About midnight she was wearing a bit thin and I made the mistake of asking her if she needed any help She chewed a short second before she spit at me the words which reminded me the word "help" was the same as calling someone lazy in Iambe's world I limped my skinned shin back to the house where I put on a pot of coffee and thought about how it was with her I had no problems with independent and no issues with a sharp tongue but at times, Iambe was just plain mean after all, one kick to my shin with those steel toes would have been enough two was just cruel |

I miss her too.. but then, other characters are created.. and we feel attached quite quickly. Perhaps we can persuade the Captain to indulge us with someone new? |

I know my limitations. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A well inspired muse knows NO limitations... its usually the poet that blocks the pen... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ so Iambe had agreed to work late that night taking care of his needs while knowing the old man's wife was pretty bad off and they needed all the money they could get from rangey undrfed steers raised on the worn out ground Johnson still farmed ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by those words, she sure dont sound mean to me.... me thinks shes been mistreated and misunderstood... yaya |

Iambe chewed on words the way some men chew tobacco she would hold them for a while between her lip and teeth before she shifted them to her jaw where she put teeth into them The visual is absolute from the get-go! Old Man Johnson's stake bed had lost the clutch and he had 10 head of steer he needed to move so Iambe had agreed to work late that night taking care of his needs while knowing the old man's wife was pretty bad off and they needed all the money they could get from rangey undrfed steers raised on the worn out ground Johnson still farmed It could be prose...but its poetry... About midnight she was wearing a bit thin and I made the mistake of asking her if she needed any help She chewed a short second before she spit at me the words which reminded me the word "help" was the same as calling someone lazy in Iambe's world Lazy was never in this gal's vocab... I limped my skinned shin back to the house where I put on a pot of coffee and thought about how it was with her I had no problems with independent and no issues with a sharp tongue but at times, Iambe was just plain mean after all, one kick to my shin with those steel toes would have been enough two was just cruel And as we learned throughout her brief, albeit memorable time in PiP, she could be cruel, and sometimes Konrad could just never understand why... Thank you, Cpat... For all of the family you ended up giving to Iambe... |

Iambe is like Elvis now. She is living a happy life in anonymity, surrounded by Iambe imitators, so she lives openly and free, last I heard, somewhere on a poetry site located outside of Vegas. While she is amused at being a muse, she feels no need to be a celebrity. Unless she's playing pool. I know this, cause she kicked my ass at 8 ball again last night. The lady can shoot... and *winks* couldn't resist to both Cap and Susan (Iambe got hers this morning) |

Wow , Being a newcomer I am not familiar with this character. I shall however persuade serenity B. (K) to introduce me on our next visit. Sounds like quit an inspiration. |
