I left my body to dream
of white mornings returning again
Glow phantoms of summit bonfires
Beneath a moon ending by late fall
And
I want to hear the sound between
Our minds…
When ocean seaweed
Tickled & teased our feet
As you held me during impending
Ricochets…
Handing me one of your chic ribs
You, feathered pillow Buddha...you!

I’m sorry you found my Achilles' heel
Ocean’s blue eyes smelled like a bruised apple
Life’s ruin is the tears which never attend school
I’m afraid of heights
Constant hope, kept my 35 mm Kodak busy
Those darned moody lenses!
Without inner or outer limits
Introduced me to once upon a time
Enormous deafening voids
Memories of summer, a soldier of a man
Butcha know,
Sometimes a gal just needs to be?
I stood in line at the church 3 times
Down on my hands & knees in prayer
Just in case my sense of direction was blinded
By city lights and need

I’m afraid of heights
Afraid of failing my real estate exam….again!
You said I was afraid to feel
You’re wrong!
I’m terrified of the bruises, caused “from” feeling
I’ve not known any fruit of promise
Just constant reminders of boys who love
38 D Disney Worlds

The autumn wind picks me up, taking me to
Places I’ve never been, like you used to do
…and the real me, is
Not afraid of falling…
I’m afraid of people who’ve had plastic surgery

What lies beneath me, is a handful
With no desire to be polished!
This “is” as good as it gets
I’ve become accustomed to rice checks
for dinner

Eventide becomes my best friend
Can’t seem to look past today
Besides, the bruises on my wrists from the chains
Are just starting to heal, while migrating
With Canadian geese….taking longer breaths
They let me lead sometimes
Do you have any idea, how good that feels
Coming in for that once in a lifetime landing?

Though, I still dry my hair in that comfort chair
You gave me...and feel every lifetime
Sometimes higher then climbable
But heck, you fall off a horse, you get back on
Right?
Funny, though, how a person never gives up
That good man in my life dream...
Ahhh huh, you, were, for me, him...surprised?
Don't be, don't be sad....
The Facets of We looked promising...
Like the song goes
2 outa 3 ain't bad!

Yes, Love still looks back, then faces forward
Faces the wind…reading tea leaves
I smile at that old gal in the mirror
And a low moon rhyme
Sometimes, I enjoy, dreaming December
With just my sensei
Beneath that ol’ willow tree
Still loving you
Still realizing the purpose for our meeting
It was in those danged celestial cards
That father time, dealt to meaning
Knowing "us" in another lifetime

"another cup of tea, perhaps?"

You are not afraid of searching inside for the words to tell it like it is....I admire you a great deal, ya know?

Good grief! I would have to list out the entire  poem to cover all the brilliant lines you have here. You have an amazing talent to say things in a very unique way and make the reader know exactly what you are saying and feeling...I salute your ability, miss...from a man who chased 38 D disneyworlds.

More than memories reviewed, it’s a living re-lived.  This is one of your best, Lee J.
Had me reading each verse over and over again…
Enjoyed.

Hi Lee ... a wonderful write and I enjoyed it very much.
I can't email you either. Not sure why.

Hmmmm...how are we going to remedy this?
