Back To The Past

His words inspired me
wrote with pain filled passion
took me back to the past
lost times of depression

To when a heart was young
lacking understanding
that life has many roads
but not comprehending

Standing on ancient cliffs
gazing at storm filled clouds
waiting for icy rains
while hearing thunder shouts

Released pain filled anger
to join lightning’s fire
as it struck randomly
made the rock its crier

Arms reached toward the sky
mingled tears with the rain
hurt poured from swollen soul
storm healed the inner pain

Sun broke through darkened clouds
to bath in summer light
pushed away hidden fears
leaving hope burning bright

WOW, back to the past is where I just was after this read. If only we all knew then what we know now, but for me I wouldn't be who I am now had I not experienced the past. Nor would I have a past to visit and reflect on.....The sun will break through, you are right, it always does.
