SINCERELY SPEAKING ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ I tend to speak in superlatives, When I’m in a happy mode, But when I’m discombobulated, It sounds like gibberish code! My speech is slow when sleepy, It speeds up when wide awake. But words are softly spoken, When I'm loving by the lake. When using voice of reason, The sounds are rich in tone. I pause and stress, as I do talk, To avoid a boring drone. I shout from highest rooftop, When expressing utter rage. Expletives come spewing forth, With the world as my stage. When fear overcomes me, I stammer and I stutter. But when I’m feeling meek and shy, I’ve a tendency to mutter. However, on an average day, I enunciate quite clearly. A very nice self-analysis, dear Linda! Discombobulated ? I thought you created this word, but the dictionary says: To cause to be unclear in mind or intent: addle, befuddle, bewilder, confound, confuse, dizzy, fuddle, jumble, mix up, muddle, mystify, perplex, puzzle. Informal throw. Idiom: make one's head reel (or swim or whirl) . You are always sincerely speaking, I have no doubt about that. And not only sincerely, but beautifully always! Love and hugs.
