It was three....softly spoken, felt in
a shiver of skin that ached to be lightly
rubbed...Three syllables bound together,
clinging to a heart that swore for them
before a God who knew, could taste
that which was...

Each so cherished, so hungered for,
so deeply implanted in a soul....to be
never expelled or cast away...until
anger leaves a scar upon the palms
that once clasped in a Sunday stroll,
or a lingering swing as vines reached
out....attempting to clutch...Oh, the
sweet smell of Honeysuckle....

Yes, three....standing there beyond a
sun’s rise...a moon's lingering fall, a
warm but gentle sea breeze on an
Autumn day....three words...

From my heart to you.....

I love you

Love is a shiver and an ache alright,
and there lies the rub!

You write it so nice, Barry~
