when the buffalo went north
I sprinkled my rhema there
in the meadow of shallow woman

I gathered nettles in the tall grass
of her moaning confusion
and braided them at my loins

my arrows laugh now at this dawn
they are but buttons protruding
from the soft flesh of logos

their agape is small river deep
with shimmer stone music
that calls to the eagles

there are no days left on my wrist
only the warm nights
by the fires of a stranger

but I know the scent of her tegument

I bet she's smiling right now, while silently thinking "Busted"!

Tremendous write, me thinks we're on a similar page this morn...

love the soft side
mmmmmmmmmm
after bedding down on the prickly nettles
makes it all the more appealing
you do work magic

Now how did you know I heard the Indians chanting on this cool May morning...

this was perfect for my moody muse!

stunning - so many ways to see this - but as always - you weave magic with your words -
