I wonder at this moment
as you sleep
do you feel me
prying the boards off
of your private dreams

do my fingers touch sensitive
issue tissues
that you have clutched
between your arms
dolly's dolly safe

but I saw you write the words
on the little piece of mind
and tuck it under
who would ever look there
except someone like me

that likes the flavor of unsaid
when mixed with fragile
and you never did want a secret
you couldn't show and tell
to a perfect stranger

or at least an attentive one
