There's No Beep's And Whistle's Technology gave us the Internet, DVD players, and cellular phones, It gave to us the ASCII character set, And promises of e'en greater unknowns. Microchips can be found within our cars, There's a satellite dish on every home, The Hubble spacecraft maps the distant stars, Life's a measure of reciprocal ohm. Microwaves, video games, pagers too, Provide the conveniences we demand, Yet I'd readily bid them all adieu, To walk on a beach with thee hand in hand. This flowered bouquet professes my love, There's no beep's and whistle's...is it enough? |

Kevin, I agree with you about the demands. ;-) As for walking a long the beach sounds better than hearing phones ringing. Enjoyed this fine write very much so. Hugs to you from me. Amour Vous ;-) <^^> Today the pond....Tomorrow the world |

More than enough - believe me - to connect and to love - who needs cell phones or sattelite tv? Can watch the stars streak across the skies and listen to the waves lap upon the sand - Wonderful, this - 'course I can both beep and whistle, so if it really is necessary to have them Enjoyed my friend - S If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |

Big K, What a great, refreshing poem! An odd twist of your amazing classical writing style mixed with a lot of techno. Kind of a contrast but it worked beautifully! The message was a very strong one, too. It is simply a great poem. Worthy of sharing more than once if you don't mind me saying. I always enjoy your writes. Your poetic friend, Big K2 |

Indeed, it is MORE than enough. You could woo me with your words and your smile only...I'd pass that for a car and a computer any day! Lovely read. Yv-Goddess of Her Domain. Symbol of Truth Passion Pain. Let Her Smile Rain on the Hearts of the Innocent. |
