I Know Now Is Not The Time |

 Picture by Jim Warren * * * As I gaze towards the heavens A ray of light breaks through I wonder, could this be a signal Coming through the clouds from you I seek the stairway to heaven For at the end you will be there I try hard to live without you But the pain is hard to bear Within my heart there lays a hole It's like a part of me has died So many times I've felt alone And I feel empty deep inside There are many here who love me And for them I must stay strong But how I long to be with you For that's where I belong But I know now is not the time For there is much for me to do But not a single day goes by When I don't stop and think of you I pen my heartfelt words Each and every day To keep your memory alive And my sadness at bay As I struggle to keep composure My heart begins to pine And as the ink flows through my pen My heart is seen in every line The clouds start moving in As this day comes to an end Only when we're reunited Will my heart truly mend I am in motion |

I believe, the more we pain over loss, the more we realize and know, that true blessing of love and all it's power, and maybe for us, just able to touch the surface, but we all know it's ability, and it's blessings. Hugs special lady...thank you for sharing. |

Thank you all for the warmth and comfort your words have afforded me. It's always nice to see my friends whenever I get the chance to return here. Nancy, you are right. This was written about my father and at the end of May it will mark the 6th anniversary of is death. I become more emotional than usual at this time of year. Thank you all for your heartfelt words. Time may heal your pain, but I'm not sure if it will take away that emptiness. Sometimes when you are unaware, it'll come back and hit you hard. Then you'll feel you really miss having him in your life... _,,,^.^,,,_ |
