Birthday Suit

Born within this birthday suit
And placed within a common root
I cannot change the filigree
That is the one that given me

It holds the roots that govern grime
Watered in a vase of time
Set within that sun of pour
Left to find the evermore

It seems a temporary phase
A cake with a bittersweet glaze
A breeze that makes the leaves to dance
Within a fantasy of trance

And here I dance a piper’s tune
Underneath a silver moon
A lovers tango sexually
A dream in search of ecstasy

And in the pit plays heaven and hell
In fire and fury with sulfur’s smell

Once again, I believe we are on the same wavelength this morn...writing somewhat of the same issue....

Hugs and Good Morning Sy...cup of java?

love these lines, instantly put a whole new perspective to the poem, especially the last couplet.

~ Oh, yes! I can see you perfectly in my mind's eye! ~ naked and ecstatically dancing a sexual tango beneath a silver moon. You paint an alluring picture this morning!

May the piper never stop piping! Flirty 2

How you make every subject you write about so lyrical is beyond me.
But you do it...everytime.

Your style of rhyme and humor is always pleasent to read, this poem is no exception, and as also is usual, the ending fits the poem well.

Boy have I missed your life lessons in rhyme m'friend.  (I loved the joke today too that was hilarious!)

This I think will become a favorite.

There are so many lines I love in this... but these... these danced right into my heart. *S* Beautiful work, my friend! *S*
