I mourn grieving lost rainbows driven from the gray for the light has dimmed overshadowed by the encroaching bitter I tremble for I have become bare no shelter near having wandered too far the dispossessed explorer seeking myth I fear for I hear the lion’s roar and the jackals pacing waiting for despair to finally overcome and decay into carrion I wish I had never yearned to kiss the horizon but lingered in the village happy amongst the ordinary amidst certainty’s care I cry that I should never have heeded the call of the jungle those distant drums echoing their beat into my adventurer’s heart I stand awaiting the storm which lingers just beyond this moment knowing I chose the steps leading to this precipice o’er which souls are thrown s.a.t. If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |

Powerful write, dear Susan. There are these moments when we seem to stand at the precipice. From that moment on things improve. Souls are meant to soar... Love and hugs, beautiful poetess! Margherita |

As one might say in response..."been there, felt that." One might often wonder when the emotional tides ebb..and they do. And so shall your own. Your art is flawless... |

Barry - thank you for the flawless, my friend - now if I could just find a nice quiet tidal pool where all seems to be calm and thriving - Eric - thank you my friend - Susan If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |

Powerful emotions in this, Susan. Boy, this struck me as something I could relate so well to within my own little world. We do forge our own paths through our personal decisions, though difficult a trail they may be to follow. This was great, I really enjoyed it. Best wishes, /Kit |

Susan, it matters not what style or mood that you write in ~ I always leave with something. May the storm that may be heading your way pass quickly and bring the sparkle back to your spirit. You are a very expressive and talented poetess and I am a big fan of your poetry. Sending you a big, warm hug, Linda |
