Beneath the beacons glaring The wandering man was staring At dark window reflection Showing an intersection Of him outside the dark window And the mannequin in shadow. Its stylish dress and calm manner He seemed to be there beside her. Who in seeing such a lady with him Would notice his shabby and grim, He'd be shielded by her beauty Unnoticed he would then be. Could he be a mannequin too Window posing with nothing to do. Wearing the latest fashion each day And having nothing to say. The lighting changed and the vision was gone. It was time for him to be moving on. Gloom |

Interesting how he, for a moment, dissolved into the mannequin... Very creative and well thought, Professor. It's good to read your work once again. sadelite |

To place our soul in something so empty in hopes that it shadows us and to others be nonexistent, for our life not to be seen for the truth... This is sad, but then reality glares in the flash of light. Interesting write, enjoyed. |
