Conscious Star I am the conscious of a star A flower in a field afar The product of its changing grime A flower of a field of time It reached into unending space Within its ego, find a place And search the outer limit vend To see the coming of the end But even though it lights the sky It is to me a firefly The only message I can send My reaching out from end to end It too will burn its candle out Live and die within its doubt And it will never answer life It’s ending flame and time of strife And so I send you back a sigh And thank you for this time of I |
