I stood with lonely feelings on a corner. Birds knowing as they feathered their colors. Why, when intelligence seemed so mute, instinct prevails? Did the maples also know? I wondered. Though sophistication drove by like any other wave - length. That, I was asking for want. That feeling which stayed with me since fetal. Only a child then, asking for my own toy in life. Like some divine intervention would release me. It wasn't till later I realized. Someone else was watching... me. |
