Rising i bin listin to fire lake, and henley's song about memphis. one song about help in a crisis, other about finally being awake. i wanna run, the wanderlust comin on again - is it the early spring sun, tellin me that summer soon to 'pon me, that i ought ta leave and seek? naw, 'tis the last cold cough, them final harsh bitter chill words of old man winter bearing down, drivin me from my home these many years. even home no longer holds peace, lifted is the blessed grace of sleep, my eyes bulge and ever so often i collapse, when the pain in ma head gets too bad. god lemme find ma blue suede shoes, no long pilgramige for me, a short road walked too long on bare souls, to a lake burning in fire and brimstone. And I see my hosts glorious piled here, strewn in the sulphurous mist bound by Black tar and reeling with the absence; They will rise with me when I fly East. -majnu |

East/west meets colloquial south in this piece, as you capture some southern flavors with your choice of expressions. Ouch to the sulphur and brimstone! I shall keep my mind and feet anchored in the cool Pacific. |
