Damp
Cold
Rain
The weather’s unfaithful
To April

The masts
Of ships
Have no sails
Tied up to docks in the harbor

The fog horn sound
Seems lost itself
Barren limbs
On wind blown trees

Just when I think
There’ll be no poem—
A flight of sparrows
Thunders by

The fog horn sound

This poem has such aural appeal... I love the mood these lines convey... and the ending of thundering sparrows! *S*

Very nicely done. Nothing lends itself to poetry like the sea. Excellent. Bob

Haun Yi

A poet's senses should always be open in case a poem flies by.  Yours obviously are.  Enjoyed this!!
